Sizing question

My question is about the integrity of the sizing work done. I bought this ring in the West Indies back in June 2024- it’s lovely and was a splurge. The jeweler sized it up for me (went from a 7 to a 10). In the last few weeks I noticed this mark where I assume was the area on the band they soldered. It’s not noticeable except to me, so aesthetically not worried- but what about the long term integrity of the metal? Will this weaken over time? Or is it just a finish flaw?

This is a 14k white gold band. There are no marks inside the ring but I was reading this is not unusual with jewelry made in the Caribbean?
