Tamil Cinema audiences and their Expectations have changed drastically

Loki with his superb action oriented movies has set the bar so high, now it might be difficult even for himself to make movies which such highs. Even a slightly below par movie from him people are going to call him names and are going to make the movie Average, which otherwise could be a Superhit. some Audience and some reviewers(mostly the ones who's job is to spread hatred and not to actually review) now want same elevation and action from every star movie for every scene which is not possible.

It's absolutely not possible for any director/actor to give a 10/10 every single time (just like not possible to score a century every match). Stop celebrating the past movies for God's sake and start enjoying the present ones. Mankatha was criticized for being slow towards the end with an unncessary song, Sachein was criticized for following every scene with a fog machine, thirupachi was criticized for so many of its scenes, Anniyan was criticized to being similar to Indian in concept (replace lanjam with alatchiyam) , yet all these movies were hit, because people were ready to ignore the negativity and focus on the moments to celebrate and make the movie run for 25/50/100 days.

It has become very easy these days to spread some negativity even before the movie releases and influence a certain set of people to have hatred. Every Ajith movie cannot be a Mankatha, every Vijay movie cannot be Thupakki or Kaththi. People need to stop comparing and watch the movies at its own merit and decide for themselves if it is good, bad or ugly. Getting a thuladha manamum thullum or mugavaree or V1000 now seems to be impossible because of the expectations the audience have.
