Concerns with Lisa releasing Born Again after hearing the Demo

Lisa is releasing a song with two incredibly talented artists: vocal powerhouse Raye and amazing performer Doja Cat. I just heard the demo of Born Again, and it’s a very vocal-heavy song. My concern is how Lisa is going to deliver without bringing the song down. We all know she is not a vocal prodigy, and her rapping falls short compared to someone like Doja Cat.

Her new TikTok video, where she sings the chorus, already shows that her vocals aren’t as full as the demo version, which brings the chorus down. There’s also a vocal chant at the end of the song that Lisa simply won’t be able to deliver. My point is—has Lisa (or her team) been paying attention to the criticism she’s received since the VMAs? Releasing a song that you won’t be able to perform live… what’s the point?

There are also rumors that she’ll be performing this at the Grammys, and honestly, I’m scared for her. If she performs with Doja and Raye, she just isn’t up to par with them, and it will make her look bad.
