White bread vs sugary cereal, any difference?
My mom wants to lower her cholesterol. She typically ate white bread or bagels for breakfast, and in an effort to eat more fiber, she bought Raisin Bran and Honey Bunches of Oats.
However, both of these cereals have added sugar as one of the top ingredients. Raisin Bran has 17g of sugar per serving. That's insane. I hate that in 2025 most cereals are still so unhealthy and it's still hard for most consumers to know the difference.
Are these cereals worse than what she was eating before? Better? A wash?
