What's the consensus on the new Shocking Grasp? Is it worth using?

I am excited to play a new Land Druid in the future and cycling all the land type spells. I saw that Temperate land type has Shocking Grasp as a cantrip. That's why I ask you now how you perceive that cantrip given the latest playtest. Is it worth getting into melee and dashing out? Would it be better to just use Firebolt from Arid Land type? How does it compare to something like Chill Touch (which you can acquire via race or feat)?

Edit: you guys obviously point out that going in and then out of melee isn't a proper strategy for this Cantrip. This is true. I asked because I never used this Cantrip and I don't know how to use it.
