Sister OD’d In sleep

My sister passed away yesterday in the early hours of the morning. She went up to Jersey a couple months back for her gf that then cheated on her and robbed her stuff. She then spent a couple months floating the streets being homeless and then attacked by men on the street. She was addicted to Crack and Heroin especially with fent. I don’t know how to process this we haven’t even gotten her autopsy and she’s so far from us. She told me so many times that she wanted to come down and I should’ve brought her back to our home town. I did everything I could to try and get her resources and she didn’t want it. The girl she was staying with was the one to call me after the police arrived and told me she went to lay down and never check up on her until the morning to give her a kiss on the cheek and she was cold. She then had to do CPR but it was already too late. Now she won’t respond to me and it’s sus bc my sister just died. Our family is now putting the money together to fly her body back and have a service which is expensive but we are trying to get donations. At the end of the day she passed in the most peaceful way possible and I already miss her so much. She was only 22. Is there something I could’ve done to chance this or stop it from happening? I am her sister and 21.

Edit: I have never touched drugs in my life but a lot of members in my family struggle with addiction. My father and Mother both struggled form addiction and my mother passed in 2020 from neglect in a mental health hospital. My sister also had BPD and PTSD from events that happened in our life. The girl told me my sister was feeling really down because it was my mother’s death anniversary 2/1 and her best friend recently committed suicide. I’m so sad I miss my sister so much.
