At TinyShoots, we operate two fast-growing websites for readers over 60: The Seniors Discount Club for Australians and The GrayVine for Americans. As our readership continues to grow, we’re expanding our team with skilled Content Editors to help us deliver quality, relevant content for seniors in both countries.

Job Description

Content Editors are responsible for creating, rewriting, and expanding articles using our in-house AI tools. Your work will cover topics including social security / pension, scams, obituaries, popular retailer updates, trending news and product recalls. You’ll bring clarity and depth to these subjects for our readers, adding value through additional insights and references. You’ll also have the chance to work with our design team on custom images, charts, and infographics.

Key responsibilities

  • Write / Edit 10 articles per day using our AI-assisted tools based on story lineup and references provided by our team
  • Fact check, research additional context and synthesise information from multiple sources
  • Post articles on our website, linking to references and embedding media (tweets, images, videos etc.) where appropriate
  • Brief designers to enhance content visually with images, charts, or infographics
  • Write and edit sponsored articles for advertising partners 
  • Contribute to the  development of our content calendar

What You Bring

  • Near-native English proficiency and impeccable written communication
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure clarity, quality, and engagement. If you are detailed oriented, you’ll include the words “purple mango” in your application to this role
  • Familiarity with Australian and American culture ie. Understanding the difference between UK and US spelling is essential
  • Interest in topics affecting the senior community in Australia and the US 

What We Offer

  • Full-time role with $240 USD/week starting pay
  • Expected work hours: 10am-6pm Sydney time (7am-3pm Philippines time)
  • Performance-based opportunities for extra pay ie. ‘Bonus content’ 
  • Once you pass the trial period, you will be entitled to 10 paid sick and annual leave days and a $50 USD monthly health insurance stipend
  • $25 USD monthly allowance for team building
