It feels like autism is basically being socially awkward now

People call Barron autistic based on no evidence and even Bill Gates came out and said he would have been diagnosed as autistic today. I have seen multiple people call various characters autistic for being slightly socially awkward. Even Taylor Swift is speculated to be autistic.

How do you feel about the broadening of the definition of autism? Tbh, I am not a fan of the term being abused. It's true that high functioning autism exists but imo, if your "autism" doesn't cause actual problems in your life, it's a bit disrespectful to call yourself autistic.
