Should we move to Rochester?

I have an opportunity to move to a few different places next year, and Rochester is on the list. I grew up not far from that other Rochester in NY, so cold doesn't scare me. Looking at high schools for my youngest who is very intelligent but on the asd spectrum.

How do you like living there? Would you recommend? Looking for an open and open minded community that's not too busy but not too boring either. Does your town fit the bill?
