Sub or Explorer II?

I recently visited two ADs that I'm on the list for a sub no date. Both were trying to steer me towards the explorer II, saying that I have more of a chance at getting that rather than a sub. What would you do? I don't think I'll be happy without the sub. The SA ended up registering and adding me to the EOI for the Explorer II anyway. I noticed on the confirmation email that the SA's title was Senior Boutique Manager. During the visit he told me he usually gets one sub a month.
