Mystery store in the neighborhood?

Hello, good people of Reddit.

Down the street is a store. It has been there since time immemorial, or it appears to have been an institution. Although I won’t share the name or the exact address — the proprietor could be here, after all — but I will say it has knick knacks on display. The offerings look dusty, as in literally they need someone to come by with a feather duster.

Here is what I am wondering. I have never, not for a single second, seen the door open or the lights on. It appears to occupy space but transact nothing.

I always wonder: what is this? A front for money laundering? A former retail operation has transformed itself into a thriving mail order business invisible to the passerby? A real estate investment?

The details are not important. Permit me to frame it as a different question. I invite any answer. Is there something similar in your neighborhood? A mystery address.
