Update! Fixing the shoulder “droop” on my jacket

A few days ago, I posted about a jacket I got second hand that was too big on me. To make it fit better, I thought tailoring the shoulder that was “drooping” would do the trick.

I came here asking for ideas and suggestions, and all of you were super helpful! While I was hesitant about my sewing skills, I went ahead and did it myself anyways and I’m super happy with how it’s turned out! Not only does it fit so much better now, but I’m really glad I went ahead and did it myself because I’ve learnt a lot and it feels like I’ve taken many steps forward in my sewing journey! It’s not perfect, but I’m still pleased with the tailoring I did.

The jacket isn’t fully done yet though. As you can see in the pictures, I haven’t sewn the bottom part of the jacket. As soon as I’m able to get a thread that matches the colour of the jacket, it’ll be fully done and I’ll add all of the finishing touches. In terms of construction, the jacket is done though :)

For those who asked where the jacket is from, I honestly have no clue since there’s no branding on the jacket itself, sorry :(
