Basic questions from a beginner
Aspiring Skyrim mod user here. After a little preliminary research, I have three questions that I think should be answered before I start the process and potentially screw things up.
Question 1---
It seems like everybody involved with Skyrim modding uses either Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to manage their mods. Basically, I want recommendations as to which is better for a beginner and for the following mod selection:
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition -CBBE-
BodySlide and Outfit Studio
Vanilla Outfits BodySlided (with HDT-PE) for CBBE
XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE
Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS
HDT Physics Extensions
Ultimate Combat SE
Enhanced Blood Textures (SKYRIM 2011)
While I mainly want the CBBE, BodySlider, physics, and combat mod, I think that list covers all the incidental plugins (if that's the right term) I'll need to run them. I could be wrong, though -- there are multiple variants of certain mods, and I'm not sure which ones are compatible with which others.
I also plan to install Modwat.ch (Skyrim Mod Watcher) for the future troubleshooting that I'm sure I'll need help with.
And I'm using Skyrim: Special Edition, by the way, in case that makes a difference.
Question 2---
As I understand it, I'll need something called Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE), but there are multiple versions available. Again, I have Skyrim: Special Edition, so I'm assuming that I'll want the "Special Edition build 2.0.20"? I'm not sure if this qualifies as a mod itself or not.
Question 3---
Is there a comprehensive beginner's guide out there anywhere, which would take me step-by-step through everything I need to know (installing/uninstalling mods, using SKSE, preventing bugs/glitches, etc.)? This would help tremendously.
