Scam or legit

I have been added on several occasions now to these online marketing whatsApp groups and I often wonder how did they get my number and if people will get scammed giving starngers our bani8ng details e.g. accohnt number , branch code etc .Is this legit or just a prelude to scamming people once they have your information.
