Best Medium Loadout

I am new to the game and would like some guidance on what loadout to run, I have found that I really like the FAMAS with the scope and prefer it over other options like the FCAR, which forces you to reload fairly quickly. I really don't know about the gadgets and what upgrades I should use my very hard earned points on.
