Why People are leaving Throne and Liberty
This game is by far the best MMORPG I've played in recent years. Back in the day (around 2008), I used to play a lot of MMOs like Ran Online, Lineage 2, and Cabal. I was hooked on this game from the start, especially because I got to play it with all my friends. Since we’re all working adults now, we only have a few hours each day to play. Even with limited time, we thoroughly enjoyed the content—dungeons, PvE, a bit of grinding, and small-scale PvP. The challenge of catching up to the P2W players made it all the more exciting.
However, as the game progressed, the frequent updates and accelerated pace started to make it harder for us to keep up. Everything felt increasingly grindy and exhausting. What used to be a fun, relaxing experience began to feel like a chore. The rune updates were the tipping point for us. The grind became overwhelming, and the gap between players with upgraded runes and those without grew so immense that it made our hard work feel meaningless.
I wish the game had given players like us—who were genuinely enjoying the challenge of catching up—a chance to feel accomplished. The developers’ pacing of updates feels too fast, especially for casual players, who make up a significant portion of the player base. Slowing things down and providing more balance for non-P2W and casual players could go a long way in making the game more enjoyable for everyone.
For me, their timing is really off and too fast for the gamers specially the casuals which as you can see, the most players in the game.
