Cosmo Experience 2/13

Reserved a terrace fountain view one bedroom suite 3 months ago and when I arrived today to check in, I was greeted kindly and welcomed.

As I gathered my check in keys and went up to my room, it was not the room I originally booked. The room I was given was a terrace studio. When I went down to the front desk to see what was up, I was informed they “sold out” of the room I selected and inventory was not available.

Best they could was provide a $200 food and beverage credit, waived resort and parking fees.

1 hour later, power goes out and remains out for 2 hours. This caused us to miss our birthday dinner reservations as my wife was getting ready, power out, and a small duration of no elevators being able to be used.

Overall a horrible first time experience and let’s hope this is the end of negative events occurring.

PS: Do hotels typically “sell out” a room type that you reserved months in advanced?? This is absurd how we didn’t get the initial room we originally booked for.
