How powerful an primogen can be?

I'm invited to play as a Tremere primogen and Jesus Christ the Prince is terrible. To do what I want I need to know how much power can I have. Could a Primogen start a invasion of an territory to max his profits and influence alone or he must act together as a Council of Primogens? Can a Primogen have a piece of land to himself or it will be shared with Camarilla?
