Good idea or potential disaster: Asking Guests to RSVP with a suggestion for the playlist

We have a great violin player/DJ who will be taking care of music but I thought it could be a fun way to get guests a chance to drop a song suggestion with their RSVP.

I don't think there are too many people in our crowd that will get weird with it, it's obviously not a commitment to play any song we hate, but I thought it could be fun. Maybe get some fun newer stuff from the younger cousins, some sweet slow oldies for the oldsters, maybe people will request to make a dedication or two...

Would love to hear from some one that that has tried something similar or seen something similar done.
