I don’t really get the discourse against doing a presentation. I understand designers not wanting to do design work for free which can be instantly ripped off, but doing presentations is part of the job description for a PMM.

I had a similar assignment request. I approached as presenting the framework - essentially laying out my approach to gathering and distilling the information needed to make a positioning recommendation and rollout. At no point did I give any answers or a positioning recommendation. TBH how could I? You don’t work there so you’re missing so much info including conversations with customers. Also positioning can’t be achieved in an 2-5 hr project. Anyway, I got the job so it worked I guess.
